Again I don't know about the 400 since I never road one, but from what I have read the KLX is better in the knarly stuff, and I can attest that it hanldles the knarley stuff excellent I don't recall ever trying the DRZ at a sustained 80mph+.to be honest, I don't like the KLR at those speed either
